A recent trial in Germany demonstrated that using skin needling on burn scars achieved a n average of 80% physical improvement. Up until now all post burn treatments actually destroyed the epidermis and basement membrane resulting in fibrosis of the papillary dermis. Skin Needling was shown during the trial to induce normal collagen and elastin production without damage to the epidermis, which makes it a first in the treatment of post burn scars. For those of you looking to improve the appearance of unsightly burns, skin needling is definitely the best option.
